Visit her websites - Esther Luttrell and Dear Dean...Love, Mom |
|
Esther Luttrell began her career as writer-director-producer of documentaries, educational films, and syndicated television programs in the Midwest. Later, in Los Angeles, she joined the CBS Script Department, then MGM Studios. When her son, Dean, an aspiring filmmaker, died, she began conducting screenwriting workshops across the country in his memory. It was then that she experienced “accidental” meetings with others who had lost loved ones. They sought her out, they phoned from states she had never visited, and they all had the same question: “Why do I feel compelled to meet you?” Dean was at the root of those encounters. It would be years before Esther understood what it was he had been trying to get across to her, from the Other Side. That understanding is captured between the covers of “Dear Dean…Love, Mom”, a book that is not about Esther, and not about Dean. It is about the message Dean wanted her to share with everyone who needs to be assured there is life-after-life. After producing the feature film, “Lithium Springs”, and two WWII documentaries, she made the decision to devote her time traveling and speaking about the experiences that led her to write, “Dear Dean…Love, Mom”. She is also the author of “Tools of the ScreenWriting Trade”, “ Till Death Do Us Part”, “Screen Writers Q & A”, and “Murder in the Movies”. |
