Originally from California, in 1993 Linda became a "Transplanted Texan." Always an avid reader of mysteries, ghost stories and anything in the paranormal/metaphysical genre, Linda never stopped dreaming of the day she'd finally begin her own full-time writing and publishing career.

Synchronicity brought Lisa Rene' Smith and Linda Houle together on the same dream-filled pathway toward successful writing and publishing. In 2006 they formed L&L Dreamspell - first publishing their own novels to make sure they could produce a quality product - then in 2007 they began publishing books for other authors. They decided to run a traditional small press and pay advances and royalties, rather than be "book packagers" and charge authors. Lisa and Linda use state of the art software and design the interiors and covers for the L&L Dreamspell books. Linda's specialty is cover design.

With approximately 150 authors on the L&L Dreamspell team, Linda and Lisa are proud of what they've been able to accomplish in just three years as publishers! Of course being so busy producing the work of other people leaves them precious little time for their own writing...but they do manage to add a few books to their writing credits now and then.

Linda and Lisa work hard every day to live their dreams... One of Linda's goals has been to publish non-fiction, both her own work and the work of other talented authors - so Wisdom Trends was born in the Fall of 2009.
